Adult Classes

Dragonfly offers pay as you go adult classes in Tap, Ballet and Pilates. 

Classes are fun and friendly whilst also delivering safe technique.

Adult Tap

Tap is a fun dance style characterised by rhythmical footwork.  It is great for co-ordination, musicality and balance.  Classes are very friendly and the emphasis is on having fun whilst learning good tap technique.  Classes are taught by qualified ISTD teachers and use a mixture of free work and set exercises from the ISTD syllabus.

Tuesdays 6.45 - 8.45pm:  Beginners tap with Miss Maisie - spaces available

 

Wednesdays 7.45 - 8.45:  Improvers tap with Miss Liz (a basic level of tap experience is preferable for this class) - spaces available

​

Wednesdays 7.45 - 8.45pm: Advanced tap with Miss Stacey (prior tap experience of around grade 5 level is essential for this class) - class full

Adult Ballet

Ballet is excellent for improving balance, co-ordination, muscle tone and strength.  Our ballet classes are friendly and welcome people of all levels and experience.  The class consists of barre work, centre work and the learning of a free dance.

 

Classes are taught by a qualified RAD teacher and are specifically tailored to adult dancers.

Wednesdays 6.45 - 7.45pm: Adult ballet with Miss Stacey (a basic level of ballet experience is preferable for this class) - 1 space available

Thursdays 7.45 - 8.45pm:  Adult ballet with Miss Stacey (a basic level of ballet experience is preferable for this class) - spaces available

 

Pilates

Pilates is a mat based exercise which can be taken standing or sitting; using balls, bands and even the wall.
Dragonfly offers Fitness Pilates which is a training option that focuses on the body as a human kinetic chain. It is slow paced with a variation of levels to work towards and can help educe the risk of injury.
Building a healthy body and mind, improving strength and flexibility whilst working at your
own pace and level.

 

Choose stretching over stressing!

 

Classes are taught by an accredited teacher.

Silver Swans® 

Adult Ballet Class

Silver Swans® is a ballet class aimed at beginners over the age of 55.  This wonderful class is slower paced than the Adult Ballet classes and caters for complete beginners.

The benefits of dance have been widely researched and documented.  Dance can help to improve balance, co-ordination, strength and general well-being.  The class is set to beautiful music helping to develop musicality and a sense of performance.

Fridays 9.45 - 10.45am: Silver Swans with Miss Stacey - class full
